Her Excellency Mrs. Rachel Ruto

Rachel Ruto attended Likuyani Primary School in Kakamega County before progressing to Butere Girls High School for her O and A levels. She then pursued higher education at Kenyatta University, earning a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree, followed by a Master of Arts from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Despite her academic background in education, Rachel ventured into entrepreneurship, specializing in tour and travel, organizing trips to popular destinations like Maasai Mara and Mombasa. As Kenya's Second Lady, Rachel became a prominent advocate for women's rights and empowerment, notably through the Joyful Women Organization's table banking initiative, which spread across Kenya and beyond. In January 2014, she was honored with the International Honorary Fellowship Award on Women Empowerment from Binary University in Malaysia. Rachel Ruto has also championed healthy living, advocating for physical exercise such as cycling and launching the Mama Cycling Initiative in September. However, in March 2023, she drew controversy for her opposition to same-sex relationships following a Kenyan Supreme Court ruling on LGBTQ rights.

Hon. Ezekiel Machogu

Ombaki attended Nduru High School and later completed his O-levels at Agoro Sare Secondary School in 1975. From 1976 to 1979 he attended the University of Nairobi where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
Ombaki started his career in the office of the president as a District Officer, where he worked from 1976 to 1979. He later became a District Commissioner, an office he left in 2008. He served as a Senior Deputy Secretary in the public service commission until 2016. In 2017 he entered the National Assembly as a Member of Parliament from Nyaribari Masaba Constituency. Ombaki was a member of the Committee on Regional Integration and the Members Services and Facilities Committee while in Parliament.

Dr. Beatrice Inyangala

Dr. Beatrice Muganda, Director of Higher Education at PASGR, is a seasoned educationist specializing in program planning, design, and implementation. She fosters collaborations among African and Northern universities and international networks to advance innovative projects enhancing excellence, relevance, and access in higher education, particularly at the master's and doctoral levels. Leading the PedaL project, she collaborates with diverse partners to transform university program delivery for enhanced graduate competencies. Dr. Muganda has trained over 1000 teaching staff across 60 African universities in innovative pedagogies. She actively engages in higher education policy dialogues globally, including EU-Africa policy dialogues and Wilton Park dialogues, among others. Dr. Muganda's contributions extend to Kenya's national policy documents and hold degrees from Moi University and the University of Athens, with further training from the International Institute of Educational Planning in Paris.

Dr. Esther Muoria

Dr. Esther Thaara Muoria, currently Embu County’s Secretary and Head of Public Service, has been nominated as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education's State Department for TVET. With prior experience as registrar at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Dr. Muoria is known for her dedication to public service. She pledged to bring positive change to Embu County, emphasizing the fight against corruption inherited from the previous administration. Dr. Muoria is committed to restoring Embu County's reputation and ensuring Governor Cecily Mbarire fulfills her health agenda. Her background in education equips her well for her new role in the Ministry of Education's State Department of TVET, where she aims to leverage her expertise to contribute significantly.

Dr. Raymond Omollo

Dr. Raymond Ojwang Omollo, the Principal Secretary for the State Department of Interior and National Administration, boasts a diverse career spanning 16 years in statistics, with experience in both public and private sectors. Beginning as a researcher at the University of Nairobi, he later held positions at the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi) and collaborated with organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to address development challenges in Africa. His leadership as Managing Director of the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) emphasized socio-economic development across 18 counties in the Lake Victoria basin region. Dr. Omollo holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from Maseno University and has received a Biostatistics and Epidemiology scholarship from the University of Washington, USA. Notably, his appointment as Principal Secretary at the State Department for Interior and National Administration highlights his exceptional career trajectory, being the youngest to hold such a position.

Susan Mang’eni

Susan Mang'eni serves as the Principal Secretary of the newly established State Department of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMES) Development within the Ministry of Cooperative and MSMES. With nearly 15 years of experience in governance and development across the private and public sectors, she excels in strategic leadership, public policy formulation, enterprise development, and youth and women empowerment. Previously, Susan held positions on the Boards of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF), Kenya Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), and the Competition Tribunal of Kenya. She contributed to the assessment of the impact of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on governance and public institutions, informing government policies and programs. In the private sector, Susan engaged in consultancies focused on socio-economic and political transformation, gaining global perspectives. She holds an MA in Entrepreneurship Development and a BS in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Nairobi. Susan's diverse network includes affiliations with organizations such as the Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) and the Women Democracy Network (WDN).

Eng. Festus Ng’eno

Ernest Ng'eno is a Kenyan Anglican bishop; since 2016 he has been the Bishop of Kericho.
Ngeno was born on 12 February 1979 at Ainamoi. He was educated at Telanet Primary School, Kenegut Secondary School and St. Paul's University, Limuru. He was ordained in 2003 and began his career in Nairregie- Enkare Parish. After that he served in Sotik Parish and Belgut Parish. Ng'eno became the Diocesan Administrative Secretary of Kericho in 2015.

Ismail Maalim Madey

Mr. Ismail Maalim Madey, hailing from Mandera County in North Eastern Kenya, brings over 15 years of experience in administrative and senior managerial roles across public and private sectors. His academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Global Business Management from United States International University (USIU) and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Security Management from Mt. Kenya University, complemented by a Diploma in Military Science from Egerton University. Appointed as Principal Secretary, State Department for Youth Affairs and the Arts by H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, Mr. Madey is committed to implementing the Kenya Kwanza manifesto to empower youth as job creators and contributors to the economy. With a focus on youth development and a dedication to family life, Mr. Madey embodies a commitment to progress and a brighter future for Kenya's youth.

Prof. Chacha Nyaigotti

Professor Chacha Nyaigotti-Chacha, born on August 22, 1952, in Kuria District, Nyanza Province, Kenya, is a prominent Kenyan playwright and esteemed educationalist. He held the position of executive secretary at the Inter-University Council for East Africa from 2000 to 2010 and served as the inaugural CEO of the Kenyan Higher Education Loans Board from 1995 to 2000. Presently, he serves as the Chairman of the Kenyan Commission for University Education (CUE). Educated at Kenyatta College, Prof. Nyaigotti-Chacha obtained a BEd (Honours) in Swahili Language. He furthered his studies at Yale University, earning an MA in Anthropological Linguistics and a Ph.D. in Swahili Language Linguistics. Throughout his career, he has held academic positions at Kenyatta University, Egerton University, and the Catholic University of East Africa's Institute of Regional Integration and Development. He has been recognized for his contributions with awards such as the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) Medal in 2004 and the Head of State Commendation (HSC) Medal in 1994 for Distinguished Service.

Pro. Daniel Mugendi

Professor Daniel Mugendi Njiru, a distinguished scholar, researcher, and consultant, boasts over three decades of expertise in academia, research, and education sectors. He has made notable contributions to agro-ecosystems research and University Education development in Kenya. Beginning as a Researcher at the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) in 1986, he progressed to Kenyatta University (KU) in 1999, holding various academic and leadership positions. Currently, Prof. Mugendi serves as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Embu and holds key roles including Chairman of the Board of Directors at Cytonn Investments Management Limited and Chairman of the Board of Management at Kirege Secondary School. A renowned author, Prof. Mugendi has authored nine books, published over 80 refereed articles, supervised numerous postgraduate students, and presented scientific papers at numerous conferences globally. His groundbreaking research focuses on agriculture, forestry, and environmental policy and sustainability, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge and education.

Prof. Fr. Mbugua was appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa at the conclusion of 19th Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa (AMECEA) plenary assembly which took place between July 13 and 23, 2018 in Addis Ababa.

Until his appointment, Fr. Mbugua was the vice-chancellor of Tangaza University College, which is a constituent college of CUEA. He holds a doctorate in educational psychology from Egerton University and he brings to CUEA 20 years of experience and knowledge in management and leadership.

Dr. Ekrah Ndungu

Dr. Ekrah Ndungu serves as the CEO of the German Institute of Professional Studies in Nairobi, Kenya, where she also works as an educational consultant, corporate trainer, advisor, career coach, mentor, and motivational speaker across Africa. She holds certifications as an Emotional Intelligence Coach, Women Empowerment Coach, and Life Coach from the Transformational Leadership Academy in the USA. Dr. Ndungu is a founder board member of the Career Guidance Institute and Founder Director of CEO Forum Kenya, an association of Christian CEOs. Additionally, she serves as the Secretary General of the Kenya National Association of Private Colleges and holds the position of Kenya Vice-Chairperson of the Global Business Roundtable. Recently, she was appointed as Rt. Nobel Countess, East Africa Commissioner, and Chairperson by the World Diplomatic Federation. Dr. Ndungu holds an honorary Doctorate in Transformational Leadership, a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship, and is fluent in German and English.
